It looks like Sprint is starting to realize that they are in trouble with the gigantic company of Verizon-Vodaphone and are looking to keep stakes in the US. They will be launching a visual search beta through Thrrum which allows anyone with a camera phone to send a picture of anything which will be recognized by Thrrum’s visual recognition software and send back what it is. Sounds interesting.

Bluetooth Chips

It looks like Qualcomm has reduced the size of its bluetooth chips so that they can be put in more smaller phones and is actually stronger than the previous models. The distance will also be increased from the current 12 feet to even as high as 24 feet in length. Lets see how they play out soon in phones.

Acne Help

So one of my good friends was looking over my face as she normally does (I think she likes me) and she told me about some acne treatment out there. Obviously I was upset but then I didn’t care after a second when she told me she had horrible acne too. She said it is the best acne treatment out there! On a good note, she says its super temporary and really doesn’t dry your skin like other medications. I think I will try it out.

Alltel Phones Sold @ Best Buy

You heard it right. The people who made you love merlin have now a contract agreement that lets them sell phones at Best buy stores. You can buy the phones and contracts through each individual store. Also, the plan is to also provide accessories seamlessly with best buy. It looks like a good move for Alltel and I hope that brings them more business and therefore, more competition for all!

Nextwave Selling Its Spectrum

It almost sounds dirty lol. It looks like Nextwave will be selling the already purchased spectrum from the FCC. They own the spectrums in the 1.7GhZ, 2.5GhZ bands. They will honor 251 million residents with their delicious waves. Lets see who has the monopolizes the bandwidth and hopefully they feel as though its an amazing concern for everybody! Joyus days are coming when cell phone companies will fight for our business muahahaha!

Alltel Bringing On The Heat!

It looks like the Alltel network is following suit with Sprint and will soon offer the upgrade for the ROM update on the HTC and provide Rev. A to their market. The upgrade will increase the wireless download speed of its phones and potientally reduce the lag time that is associated with Rev. 0. The upgrade will also touch on better performance of its bluetooth and recieve video messages unlike Sprint.

You thought I was going to say love! Well, its because Alltel has a new phone called the Glimmer. It is a 2.8 in screen phone with 2mgpxl cam, and blue tooth. It looks very similar to the Iphone besides the nice functionality. I hope they come with a monster of an OS otherwise they are already dead in the water.

I am back looking for blue tooth stereo headphones. As you all know I recently purchased a Mogul and the darn thing does not have a headphone out. I think all the new phones are going in that direction because of the huge increase of blue tooth headphones on the market. New HTC Smartphone: Iris

It looks like HTC just got another phone cleared from the FCC as a CDmA Windows Media Smart phone. The phone is called Iris and it has WM 6 device similar to a treo. It has a face up QWERTY keyboard and supports EV-DO, Wifi, and bluetooth. It has a 2 mgpxl camera micro SD slot. Verizon looks to be the carrier and the interesting part about the HTC is that it has a HUGE battery. It looks like it will be large enough to beat out almost all of the CDMA smartphones on the market in regards to battery life and the one that actually has a wifi signal.
