Verizon Needs To Shed Weight To Buy Alltel

It looks like Verizon is still looking forward to buy and acquire Alltel but it was told that it needs to drop a few pounds and divestiture in order to acquire it with the blessings of the FCC. Its going to sell off in 85 markets and reduce its service that is overlapping currently alltels. This is the first step in its regulation requirements and may need more depending on the FCC’s meanness.

Sprint May Be Purchased?

According to SK Telecom, they will not purchase Sprint. However, they are looking build on existing relationships and compare different cell phone technologies that they can provide through business contracts. In order words, they wont take on their debt but make them dependent on the company. Interesting move SK Telecom! Your move….Sprint.

Final Review Of Cellular Router

SO this is my final review of the cellular routers that was provided to me by the awesome people at powerful signal.com. The last review (most recent) I was able to do some latency testing which I was unable to do before because my previous test was done to ensure the integrity of the data and consistency. The latency is usually for the market of gamers. Most gamers require a HIGH availablity from the router AND the network connection. If you dont have one then latency can be affected. With the technology still being new (aircards by carriers) the latency is slightly tough on fast paced games like your Quakes. The mobile router itself did a BANG UP job with a wireless LAN game we were playing. It was a bandwidth hog and the router took it like a champ. I even had someone else connect to the router to see if it would take on the gaming and normal surfing and it did with ease. Its a great little router for what it does and it can take on the big boys of the router industry. I love working with technology and I have to thank Powerful Signal again for letting me review and beat up the router to ensure that it meets your needs. Check out the video review below

Sprint Billing Sucks

I just reviewed my bill today and it was 80 dollars off then what I owed! I so I contacted Sprint through my phone and apparently the bill I received was wrong. MY issue is that if the bill was just recently printed and i had paid my account a few weeks ago, why didn’t it show up until recently. Is it an issue on Sprints side? I disowned a lot of the issues people were having with Sprint but this being my second month with them really isn’t showing me any positives.

New Windows Mobile 5 and 6 Widgets

It looks like the company “Access” will be launching a new set of widgets specifically designed for the windows mobile phones. if you have been living under a rock, a widget is a small application built for a certain function. However, because the API is consistent with the operating system, it should be stable, accessible, and take very little memory to run. Also, it is essentally what made Firefox and the iphone so popular. Lets see how they play out on the slightly buggy OS.

Sprint Dealing Blows

it looks like Sprint is now letting all of the all of its subscribers to get Business Premier Account. This will allow an increase of integration within Sprint (which has been difficult considering their merger with Nextel). Here is the difficult part of the new system: they need to continue to increase services all the while addressing concerns. The program helps reduce prices on phones and services. They will also have points to use.

My readers, check out the start of something wonderful. Virgin Mobile is now offering a 80$ unlimited plan. that’s right, it is the start of price wars in cell phones. If they will start at 80, others will also drop their prices in order to compete AND the free market will reign. You can get the whole shabang a bang at 90 dollars total which includes other services.

Virgin Mobile Puts Its “N’s” In

It looks like virgin mobile buys helio for an estimated 39 million (17 million in shares). It will acquire it and most of the technology that it has. Virgin also feels that it will be able to help Sprint as a partner and really develop some cool features and systems on their new phones. I think its a good move and I hope that also provides Helio customers better service as well.

Review A: Cellular Router

I was just recently provided the chance to review cellular routers from powerfulsignal.com (THANK YOU POWERFULSIGNAL.COM!). I have a extensive background in networking and I will run some pretty off the wall tests on the mobile router to ensure that it will keep up with your extensive use of the router. I am in the process of running a full week of network activity on it (as in having it run ALL day with high network activity) to see if it can take the beating. I will be honest, I have never heard of the company until recently. However, I do have to say that it is some pretty stiff competition out there and, so far, have had the best equipment to date that I have worked with (oops, gave a little spoiler). I have a NexAira NexConnect 3G Broadband Router shown below:

Sprint Instinct

It looks like sprint will be dropping its flagship phone soon everywhere. It is called the Instinct by Samsung. I have been looking for this for some time because of how nice the phone is. I had my test run with it and let me tell you..its superb. It is one of the best stabs as an Iphone Killer. The Iphone has clout but this thing is the better buy for the high speed network alone. Check it out.
