WiMax is Now Standard for 3G
It looks like the international telecommunication union has voted to ensure that the 3G block of technology also includes WiMax a part of it. The technology is on the 2.5GHz spectrum and will be used specifically for data provisioning. The ITU however still has not provided any designation for the technology meaning that the ITU is putting its horse before the gift or however that saying goes. However, the ITU is standard for many countries to live and abide by with cellular technology (except the USA since we love going our own route) and the most interesting part about this is that the technology is the first non-cellular technology that it has approved. Interesting stuff!
